Can I lie with you in your grave

My morning started with a crane outside my window:

And ended with french, cake, energy drinks, and tea at Kecia's house:

On Returns

Random towns on the way up

A dinner party

and familiar school stuff

Yeah, I'm back.

On Endings

Coursing through the black highways towards San Francisco, crossing the familiar Bay Bridge

Hood Internet!

Dancing on stage with Dan, drunkenly attempting to photograph the moment

This concert was such a exhilarating goodbye to the Bay Area, driving through the familiar cities, with my lover, dancing, and just forgetting that I'd be leaving.

And just to lay inside you and just to know this feeling

Of the bands that I was obsessed with in high school, Something Corporate was the only one I never saw live because they broke up. Well, they got back together this year, and I finally got to see them in concert. High school is officially complete for me.

Eli David, 3 weeks old

Sean holding Eli, looking a bit apprehensive

Me holding Eli, with my mom holding his tiny little hands

Eli and his beautiful mommy

Eli meeting his great-great-grandmother. Impressive. She was pretty thrilled about it

Five generations, how often does that happen?

What a little cutie!

But I got this feeling that she'll forgive me

Whitney and I made pumpkin pie and nutella cake, which turned out fantastically

Then picked up Dan and Marc, and met Natalie at Dave and Busters for dinner and lotsssss of drinks. (Not sure why this is a picture of Dan's sleeve...)

Two drunken nights in a row with best friends and my lover? Yes, please.

Ghostland Observatory!

First 21+ bracelet so I could buy alcohol. I was inordinately excited.

We were so close to the stage! Dan even touched the lead singer.

Dan and I Barting home, still a bit drunk.

It was an utterly fantastic show.

I find a map and draw a straight line

Sean and I went to the beach.

And had a lovely time shopping downtown.

Eli David, 11 days old

Awwwwww my little baby nephew

Maureen's 21st Birthday!

Whitney and I on the way to dinner.

Cousins in the bar! Pretty birthday girl, we have so much fun together.

Me and my lover at the karaoke bar, a bit drunk.

Excellent night, with good friends, good conversation, and, of course, alcohol.

Please teach me gently how to breathe

Yesterday I saw my baby nephew who turns a week old tomorrow. Already! I can't believe it.

Afterwards, I ended up seeing a musical with my family. Not my favorite type of play, but the escapism holds a certain charm.

Three more weeks of summer isn't going to be enough time to finish my Bay Area bucket list, and my imminent return to Seattle is bittersweet.
